The VHCT14A is an advanced high-speed CMOS six-way Schmitt inverter fabricated in silicon-gate CMOS technology. The VHCT14A consists of six independent inverters capable of converting slowly varying input signals into clearly defined, jitter-free output signals. A protection circuit ensures that 0V to 7V is applied to the input pin regardless of the supply voltage and the output pin at VCC = 0V. These circuits prevent device damage due to mismatched power supplies and input/output voltages. The device can be used as an interface between 3-V systems and 5-V systems as well as two power systems, such as battery backup.
