The VHCU04 is an advanced high-speed CMOS inverter fabricated in silicon-gate CMOS technology. It achieves high-speed operation similar to an equivalent bipolar Schottky TTL while maintaining CMOS low power consumption. Since its internal circuit consists of a single-stage inverter, it can be used in analog applications such as crystal oscillators. An input protection circuit ensures that 0V to 7V is applied to the input pins regardless of the supply voltage. This device can be used as an interface between 5V system and 3V system and both power systems such as battery backup. This circuit prevents damage to the device due to mismatched supply and input voltages.
