The MM74HCT08 logic functions are implemented in an advanced silicon-gate CMOS process, which provides the inherent benefits of CMOS along with low quiescent power consumption and a wide supply range. The device's inputs and outputs, as well as pinouts, are compatible with standard 74LS logic families. All inputs are protected against electrostatic discharge damage by internal diodes to VCC and ground. The MM74HCT device is suitable for interfacing between TTL and NMOS components and standard CMOS devices. These devices are also drop-in replacements for LS-TTL devices that can be used to reduce power consumption in existing designs.

The LCX14 contains six inverter gates, each with a Schmitt trigger input. They are capable of converting slowly varying input signals into clearly defined, jitter-free output signals. Plus, their noise margins are better than conventional inverters. The LCX14 has hysteresis (typically 1.0V) between the positive-going and negative-going input thresholds, which is determined internally by the transistor ratio and is essentially insensitive to temperature and supply voltage variations. The input is tolerant to 7V and supports interfaces to 5V, 3V and 2.5V systems. The 74LCX14 uses an advanced CMOS process to achieve high-speed operation while maintaining the low power consumption of CMOS.

The MC74VHC1GT126 is a single-gate non-inverting 3-state buffer fabricated using silicon-gate CMOS technology. It achieves high-speed operation similar to an equivalent bipolar Schottky TTL while maintaining CMOS low power consumption. The MC74VHC1GT126 requires the 3-state control input (OE(bar)) to be set low to place the output in a high impedance state. The device input is compatible with TTL-type input thresholds, and the output has a full CMOS level output swing. Input protection circuitry on the device allows overvoltage tolerance on the inputs, enabling the device to be used as a logic level translator from 3.0V CMOS logic to 5.0V CMOS logic, or 1.8V CMOS logic to 3.0V CMOS logic, and Capable of running on high voltage power supplies. The MC74VHC1GT126 input structure provides protection when voltages up to 5.5V are applied regardless of the supply voltage. This allows the MC74VHC1GT126 to be used as an interface to 5V to 3V circuits. The output structure also provides protection when VCC = 0V. These input and output structures help prevent device damage due to supply voltage - input/output voltage mismatch, battery backup, hot insertion, etc.
