The NCN8025/NCN8025A is a compact and cost effective single smart card interface. It is designed for 1.8 V / 3.0 V / 5.0 V smart card read/write applications. The card VCC supply is provided by a built-in very low leakage and low noise LDO. The device is fully compatible with ISO 7816-3, EMV 4.3, UICC and related standards, including NDS and other STB standards (Nagravision, Irdeto...). It meets the requirements for set-top boxes (STBs). It meets the requirements specified for conditional access to set-top boxes (STBs) or conditional access modules (CAMs and CASs). This smart card interface IC uses a QFN-24 encapsulation (NCN8025A) and provides all the industry-standard features typically required for STB smart card interfaces. It also utilizes a very compact encapsulation QFN-16 (NCN8025), which meets the cost-effective and space-saving requirements of CAM and SIM applications.
